Connecting Your Domain to Web Hosting
Step-by-step guide for pointing any domain to your Sakurahost web hosting account.
Two Ways to Connect Your Domain
Method 1: Change Nameservers (Recommended)
If your domain is registered elsewhere, update nameservers to:
- ns-tz1.sakurahost.co.tz
- ns-tz2.sakurahost.co.tz
- ns-tz3.sakurahost.co.tz
- ns-tz4.sakurahost.co.tz
After propagation (2–24 hours), your domain resolves through our servers and hosting is live automatically.
Method 2: Update A Record Only
If you want to keep other DNS settings at your current registrar, just update the A record to your Sakurahost server IP:
yourdomain.co.tz A [server-ip] www.yourdomain.co.tz A [server-ip]
After Connecting
- Wait for propagation (5 min–24 hours)
- SSL certificate issued automatically via Let's Encrypt within 5 minutes of propagation
- Website live at both http:// and https://
